Join us for a Beer & Books evening with Terry Fallis — two-time winner of the Stephen Leacock Medal for Humour and author of ten national bestsellers — as he presents his latest novel, The Marionette.

The Marionette is a comic thriller in classic Fallis style. James Norval has built a hugely successful career writing spy thrillers — but has always secretly dreamed of living the life he only writes about. When a series of unfortunate events lands him in a foreign prison and CSIS comes to the rescue, he finally gets his chance: infiltrate the Malian government and help exfiltrate fifteen Canadian nationals before things go very wrong. Wit, suspense, and Canadian ingenuity ensue.

Terry is one of Canada's most beloved comic novelists. His debut, The Best Laid Plans, won the Leacock Medal and was crowned the CBC Canada Reads "essential Canadian novel of the decade" — later adapted for both television and the stage. He's been making Canadians laugh, think, and stay up too late ever since.

The event takes place at Creemore Springs Brewery on Thursday, June 18th. Doors open at 6:30pm, event starts at 7pm. Terry will read from and talk about his new book, followed by a moderated Q&A with Curiosity House owners Joel and Kate, and a book signing. Every ticket includes a complimentary drink from the bar.
