Curiosity House Books has been part of Creemore for more than 30 years. Over time it has had different owners and different eras, but one thing has remained constant: it’s a place where people come to browse, discover something unexpected, and leave with a book they’re excited to open.

We are Kate and Joel Simpson, and we took over Curiosity House in January 2026 with our dog Flora, who will happily introduce herself to you whenever you're next in. We are honoured to step into the next chapter of a shop that has grown with this village and its readers for decades.

We are both bookworms and have been visiting Curiosity House for many years. This is a dream come true for us and we are working on some exciting plans for the shop's next chapter.

Our brilliant team of Nancy, Erin, and Joanne are the heart of the shop, and you'll find one of them ready to help whenever you visit. We will be in the shop as often as possible, and live in the village so please say "Hi!" if you see us (probably walking Flora!).
